NET to Present Solutions at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Network Equipment Technologies, a provider of network and VoIP solutions to enterprises and government agencies, has announced that it will be demonstrating solutions that support Microsoft (News - Alert) Communications Server "14" and Microsoft Exchange 2010 at the Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference.

The objective of the conference is to offer attendees the latest info on Microsoft supported product innovations and solutions, as well as the opportunity to learn directly from top executives on leveraging a Microsoft partnership to grow a business. It is being held in Washington, D.C.

At the conference, NET (News - Alert) has asserted that they will be showcasing their many of their new and upcoming products that are designed to enable enterprise adoption of unified communications, including the VX Series intelligent voice switch with planned support for Microsoft's upcoming Microsoft Communications Server "14".

NET has claimed that the NET VX Series is a multi-function voice switch and can be deployed in distributed networks to reduce and consolidate PBX (News - Alert) infrastructure. The NET VX extends advanced call system features from centralized data centers to remote locations. With its remote survivability features, the NET VX provides continuous, local call service and intelligent trunk routing in the event of network connectivity failures.

Also at the display will be the company's SmartSIP, an enterprise application built using Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) Managed API to address the interoperability of legacy SIP endpoints and Microsoft unified communications.

SmartSIP extends enterprises' existing SIP endpoints for use with Microsoft's Office Communications Server and reduces operating expenses by automatically provisioning the endpoints.

NET has stated that attendees to their demo booth can also get a preview of their soon to be released UX Series "Survivable Branch Appliance" for Microsoft Communications Server "14". Built with features to support deployment flexibility the new UX Series are supposedly suited for remote sites, such as branch offices with minimal IT support.

"As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, NET continues to focus on innovation that enables and extends interoperability and survivability for Microsoft unified communications," said Talbot Harty, Chief Development Officer for NET. "We are assembling a comprehensive set of solutions to help drive the adoption of unified communications."
