Keynote Systems, a dealer in Internet and mobile cloud monitoring, unveiled the new Cloud Application Perspective designed to offer application performance monitoring to private clouds.
The new solution is a portable, on demand, application performance monitoring system for one’s cloud applications and services. It can be placed anywhere users want in their private cloud to monitor internal applications, first mile performance, or partner applications in their digital value chain.
The launch of Cloud Application Perspective supposedly represents a brand new way for companies to implement Keynote’s application performance monitoring behind the firewall and inside private clouds and networks.
Keynote asserted that with the announcement of Cloud Application Perspective, it is disrupting the Application Performance Management (APM) industry by delivering the world’s first SaaS (News
- Alert)-based application performance monitoring for private clouds. The solution offers significantly lower installation requirements during deployment, and no management headaches for IT teams after deployment, compared to traditional software-based solutions.
Some of the key features of the newly launched solution are:
Portability – allows users to deploy it anywhere they want
On-Demand – it can be downloaded and executed whenever users want and the installation executable is also very small in size
Flexibility and Control – users get to choose the features of the application performance monitoring of the cloud
Web Services/Web APIs Monitoring – tools for exchanging information in a Private or Hybrid Cloud
Web Performance Dashboards – all data is accessed on the company’s free Web performance portal, MyKeynote
Diagnostics – allows users to easily sort out the specific Web transactions for root cause analysis; and more
Officials with Keynote exclaimed that until now, there has been no way for companies to monitor the performance of Web applications and Web services that traverse multiple organizations or applications without – if at all – considerable costs, infrastructure instrumentation and coordination across multiple IT teams.
They added that Cloud Application Perspective delivers easy application performance monitoring while removing the pain of buying, installing and managing storage, network connectivity and reporting software that usually accompanies software-only monitoring tools; it does this by storing terabytes of application performance monitoring data in the cloud, and delivering real-time application analytics on demand.
