Innovative software company Zentive has announced the availability of an enhanced version of its application performance monitoring and alert application, 360Service Assurance.
Dr. Philip Allman, head of business development at Zentive, noted that operators struggle today with quantifying the impact of a significant increase in 24/7 reliance on the subscriber management system’s application programming interface (API), particularly where subscriber self-service or self-sales portals and IVR are involved.
“360Service Assurance provides visibility that is long overdue and allows operations staff to better manage an increasingly crucial area of the business,” Dr. Allman said.
The users of cable and satellite billing and subscriber management system have been increasingly demanding the ability to automatically monitor in real-time the performance of an API, according to company officials.
Zentive worked closely with operations staff within the MSOs to provide the tool that scrutinizes any number of operational systems. In addition, the tool also delivers a configurable browser based analysis of individual inter-system message count and response times, said company officials. The company’s unified view solution provides the means to get management visibility, helping monetize the impact of system outages and performance degradation. Plus, it also increases end-user satisfaction for subscribers and internal staff and assures quality and integrity of systems upgrades and changes, said company officials.
“Unitymedia’s (News - Alert) Web sales and Web self-care channels are the face of our company, so ensuring their availability and their effectiveness is paramount and business critical; this is why we have been using suretrak -- now part of the 360Service Assurance family of products -- since 2007,” said Herr Heiko Lippert, director of Billing & Systems Integration for Germany at Unitymedia.
suretrak allows the company to continuously check that the end-to-end IT infrastructure is functioning correctly, Lippert said, adding that suretrak has helped reduce online sales losses due to website outages to virtually zero, in fact exceeding 99.5 percent, and contributed substantially to the company’s improved customer service and satisfaction.
“Most recently, the use of suretrak has been extended to monitor a critical browser-based CRM application used by our customer support function.”Last year in December, U.K. based entertainment and communications company provider leveraged Zentive’s 360Provisioning activation platform to successfully deploy its next generation of advanced TV services
