Application Performance Monitoring: Aternity's New Frontline Performance Platform Delivers Complete Visibility

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Aternity (News - Alert), a provider of application performance monitoring and management solutions for Global 1000 enterprises, announced the general availability of the Aternity Frontline Performance Intelligence Platform (FPI) v5.0.

"We are pleased to announce the general availability of the Aternity FPI Platform version 5.0," said Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity, in a statement. "The enhancements provide a robust set of capabilities empowering both Line of Business and IT stakeholders with complete visibility of end user behavior and application performance 'From the Edge on In.’”

The Aternity FPI Platform v5.0 is equipped with comprehensive application and desktop coverage, advanced, real-time analytics, and massive scalability. The solution dramatically reduces business disruptions, increases user productivity, and delivers breakthrough optimization of enterprises' support resources.

Available through Aternity's global sales organization and its certified partners, the solution supports Web 2.0, .Net, Java, Thick Client, VDI, Citrix and Enterprise Outlook Monitoring. Featuring Frontline Performance Intelligence, Aternity FPI Platform v5.0 delivers fast Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) for the toughest desktop application problems.

Aternity FPI Platform v5.0 also includes advanced analytics that drives rapid response to performance issues. The Privacy Compliance and Massive Scalability feature ensures enterprise readiness of the clients’ Application Performance Management (APM (News - Alert)) strategic initiatives.

A recent TRAC survey finds that monitoring the impact of performance of user devices on the quality of end-user experience is one of the key challenges for gaining full visibility into the performance of business-critical applications.

“The new capabilities included in Aternity's FPI v5.0 release enable enterprises to close some of the key visibility gaps for monitoring the quality of end user experience and allows them to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and correct problems before they affect users," said Bojan Simic, president and principal analyst, TRAC Research, in a statement.
