BlueWater Technologies, a provider of Meeting & Event Technology, Audio Visual Integration, and Digital Media, announced the expansion of its core team with the appointment of Dave Gillis to manage its live events operations division.

With over 20 years of engineering and production background in live news, sports and corporate events worldwide, Gillis has the know-how to get the job done and take BlueWater events to the next level in execution, according to company officials.

“Prior to accepting this role, I had the advantage of working with BlueWater as a contractor for several years," said BlueWater Technologies' Live Events Operations Manager Dave Gillis. "It gave me insight into the company, its talent, and its technology capabilities for live events. My goal is to accelerate the momentum already generated for BlueWater and expand its national reach."

Already a recognized player within the auto show arena, BlueWater completed the final major auto show for the 2011 calendar year in Los Angeles this past month. During the event, the company managed all the technology within the exhibit for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC brands, including video, audio, interactive technologies and technical labor.

"BlueWater executed more than 400 live events this year and our team consistently strived for excellence at each event," said BlueWater Technologies' Director of Operations Bob Daniels, in a statement. "As a company, we continuously reflect on where and how we can improve the experience for both our clients and our team. Bringing on more talent is a priority for us to maintain and exceed our standards."

For this season, BlueWater is providing technology and staffing within the Hyundai displays.

BlueWater is also offering lead generation and CRM information within the Mazda exhibit to yield a higher return on investment during the upcoming auto show season. BlueWater developed a ride-along simulator for the Mazda exhibit, giving attendees the opportunity to test drive a vehicle at the show. Attendees are able to pre-register, or register at the booth, to test-drive the simulator.

In line with the growth of the company, Gillis is implementing the appropriate changes to meet the company's goals. As the first step towards enhancing BlueWater's video capabilities, Gillis hired Doug Kaer to head BlueWater's video department. A new position to Bluewater, Kaer also has more than 20 years' experience and will make a positive impact for the remaining auto show engagements as well as all future events.

In a related industry development, Mitsubishi (News - Alert) North America gave manufacturer certification to e-autobusiness’ AEROS Software Suite for automotive Customer Relationship Management (CRM), making AEROS Software Suite a preferred and compliant CRM and lead management system for more than 400 Mitsubishi dealers all across the world.
