Customers are looking for broadband solutions that provide them with faster connections, and more consistent service. Telecommunications companies are trying to figure out a way to satisfy these demands without investing in more infrastructure that can dilute their profit potential.
According to this Sys-Con report, telecommunications companies are struggling to keep up with the changing needs of the public, which is constantly tuned in with their growing number of online devices, like smartphones and tablet computers.
Recently, Actelis (News - Alert), a broadband acceleration company, announced that it would be used by Pulsant as its choice vendor for deploying the carrier Ethernet broadband solutions that Actelis has planned.
Actelis touts award-winning, patented networks, including the EFMplus and DRB technology that give value to existing copper network infrastructure.
The company was founded in California in 1998 and has since become a global leader in developing broadband solutions.
The company’s broadband solutions are being used in more than 50 countries, and its products include Ethernet access devices, broadband accelerators, spectrally compliant EFM repeaters, and Ethernet aggregation switches.
Pulsant has been around since 1995, providing IT infrastructure services that are of the highest quality. Pulsant has eight data centers in five locations in the United Kingdom. It is also the country’s largest provider of Cloud, Managed networks, managed applications, and collocation.
Through this partnering and the broadband solution that will result, customers will see faster broadband services, and the companies will not have to shell out big bucks for fiber build-outs. This also means they won’t have to charge more for their services.
Pulsant has been able to work with Actelis’ EFM product line to enhance the slower legacy systems out there, increase speeds, retain customers, and create a new revenue pool with new clients signing up for the services.
Customers who want additional bandwidth can upgrade to a 10Mbps broadband solution offered by Pulsant. About three-quarters of the company’s clients are currently on the 5Mbps service.
Pulsant chose Actelis for the company’s reputation surrounding its EFM products. Pulsant was also smitten by Actelis’ element management system called MetaASSIST EMS. This product has a remote diagnostics and troubleshooting capability that makes it a go-to for broadband solutions.
Thanks to the trouble-shooting capabilities enabled through Actelis’ broadband solutions, Pulsant believes it has cut time spent on service and support in half due. That also leads to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Broadband solutions will increasingly take collaborative efforts to meet the need of the public, whether it’s through companies like Actelis and Pulsant, or through collaborative efforts by cities and counties and rural associations to come up with broadband solutions that are vital to the economic success of a region.
