Key Performance Ideas Deploys Star Command Center Azure Edition

Key Performance Ideas, a full-service systems integrator and implementation consultancy, has deployed Star Command Center Cloud Service for the Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows Azure Cloud platform

With the deployment of Star Analytics’ solution, the company expects to reduce the cost and complexity of managing hybrid BI environments.

Using the Star Command Center, enterprises across major industries can manage and automate disparate reporting, planning, and analysis environments with applications, data warehouses and business intelligence tools from multiple vendors.

Company officials said that the Star Command Center Azure Edition provides additional benefits such as rapid provisioning, cost-effective scalability, high availability, and reduced management overhead.

Star Command Center Azure Edition strengthens the company’s “system maintenance and remote troubleshooting” (SMART) offering,” said Garry Saperstein, chief technology officer at Key Performance Ideas, adding that it also provides clients real-time management and monitoring of their enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI) systems.

KPI’s selection criteria included the ability to automate and orchestrate workflows for enterprise; co-exist between hybrid BI computing environments; improve compliance and auditing support by centralizing automation lifecycle management (LCM).

Additional selection criteria included the ability to deliver self-service automation capabilities for business users; offer plug-ins with native support for a variety of BI applications deployed by KPI clients, said company officials.

"Star Command Center running on Microsoft Azure is a powerful one-two punch that combines the unique ability to orchestrate the array of cross-vendor enterprise applications that corporations depend on with Azure's high availability,” said Allan Naim, architect evangelist for Cloud Computing at Microsoft.

Moreover, running on Azure also offers business users ubiquitous access to control critical workflows securely across a wide-range of mobile computing devices, Naim said.

“Command Center removes the burden of custom coding with compliant, supportable and dependable software, allowing Key Performance Ideas to deliver a superior client experience and state-of-the-art EPM and BI solutions,” Saperstein said.

Earlier this year in February, Star Analytics announced the Star Command Center Cloud Service for the Microsoft Windows Azure Cloud platform.
