UNIT4 Business Software Helping Non-Profits Remain Agile in Increasingly Competitive Sector

By Madhubanti Rudra, TMCnet Contributor

As the non-profit sector is becoming more competitive, UNIT4 Business Software, the North American subsidiary of UNIT4, is helping non-profits expand and evolve into tightly-run, international organizations. UNIT4 is the world's leading provider of business software for Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC).

In a press release, UNIT4 Business Software claimed that it has enjoyed increasing momentum in this sector in the last six months. The North American market remained particularly lucrative for the company.

The company has reportedly signed contracts with such large non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as ACDI/VOCA, International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM), as well as research facilities such as TRIUMF. The total value of the contract is worth more than $1 million, the company claimed in the release.

In Europe, UNIT4 signed deals with such organizations as ZonMw and the Innovation Institute of the Ministry of Health in the Benelux, as well as a leading national charity in the UK.

“All these organizations have one thing in common and that's the desire to deliver the accountability and transparency of a public company and to be more competitive. Warren Buffet has alluded to this in how he chooses which organizations to donate to – those who operate as businesses earn his money because they're operating on a business level. That's what our software allows non-profits and NGOs to do,” VP of Product Management at UNIT4 Ton Dobbe noted in a statement.

UNIT4’s Agresso (News - Alert) Business World solution is particularly well-received by the non-profit organizations around the world. The solution’s post-implementation agility allows end users to respond swiftly and cost-effectively to changing funding levels and new funding structures, regulatory reporting requirements, and reorganization and restructuring without customers having to rely on costly external consultants, UNIT4 explained in a press release.

“Agresso is revolutionising the way the British Red Cross manages its financial information and reporting. We are simplifying our processes, reducing paperwork and pushing down administration costs and by better managing the vital funds that are raised we can be more effective,” Deputy Director of Finance at British Red Cross Carol O'Neill, noted in a statement.

Last month, UNIT4 announced renewal of a partnership with Sabre (News - Alert) Travel Network to advance its travel back-office software, Sabre CentralCommand with Agresso.
