A group-wide framework agreement between Convergys and E.ON (News - Alert) IT, will allow E.ON IT to leverage the extensive portfolio of advanced technology solutions from Convergys that are available within E.ON. Intelligent technology solutions from Convergys (News - Alert) will help E.ON IT improve rating and billing processes and help drive its customer experiences. E.ON IT is the IT division of E.ON AG, a privately held power and gas company.
In a release, Edgar Aschenbrenner, Chief Information Officer of the E.ON AG and Chairman of the E.ON IT Management Board, said, “We look forward to broadening our relationship with Convergys, so we can replicate the success of the pilots on a group-wide scale. We are excited about the future possibilities and services that we are able to deliver to our customers with the support of Convergys’ intelligent solutions.”
Convergys collaborated with three E.ON affiliates all through 2010 and 2011 over a number of pilot tests to establish the effectiveness and reliability of its technology solutions with respect to advanced rating and billing capabilities within the smart metering arena. On the successful completion of these tests, E.ON AG, decided to enter into a new global framework agreement with Convergys.
Eran Ofir, General Manager, Global Utilities, Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions, said, “Convergys’ solutions will help E.ON IT to make the most of the company’s current back office infrastructure investment by expanding their system capabilities to solve business needs brought on by changing business conditions, including Smart Metering and growing customer requirements.”
Convergys has been delivering and deploying Smart Revenue Solutions for a number of customers within the utility, energy retail and communications sectors. The company’s solutions have been designed to support billing and customer care requirements of energy retailers as well as other companies.
Andy Corkhill, Head of Utilities EMEA, Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions, said, “Convergys will support E.ON IT group-wide to enable a better customer experience, using products such as Rating & Billing Manager, among other Convergys solutions.”
