Bitrix, Inc. launched a new social intranet platform Bitrix24 for small businesses and teams that have fewer than 12 members. This free management service is designed specifically for small businesses with the idea that the cloud-based service offers an all-in-one collaboration, communication, and management tool.

The new intranet platform takes advantage of computer network technology that allows information, operational systems, and computing services to be shared within a particular company. Bitrix offers a free version for businesses with up to 12 employees, which comes with various tools and 2 GB of space. Companies can expand the platform for a fee.

“With this next-generation release, Bitrix gives companies, especially smaller companies, the power to take collaboration, communication and business management to a whole new level,” said Dmitry Valyanov, president of Bitrix. “We’ve combined dozens of distinct functions, like individual and group calendars, CRM, reporting, instant messaging and project management – and built a comprehensive toolkit in a single work zone employees can access from anywhere. Users can run an entire company from Bitrix24.”

Bitrix24 allows social networking within the organization. Some features include an activity stream, instant messenger, photo gallery, and conversations. All of these features allow for users to keep informed of what’s happening inside the company. The management platform also has company features such as employee search, company structure, report builder, document management, and access to private and shared documents.

In a recent press release, the company boasted about one of its newest features called, Smart Search. “Bitrix 24 also delivers a Smart Search feature that provides a fast and easy way for users to find information that is accessible to them. Managers can supercharge efficiency by setting user access rights and creating workgroups, which function as sub-intranets and present only relevant information for each employee.”

Bitrix24 offers the most sophisticated intranet services currently in the market. This new management tool can really help small businesses create a business franchise, while maintaining and managing its core operations.
