Kofax plc, a provider of Capture Enabled BPM (business process management) solutions, has clenched a new deal worth $850,000 for its invoice and accounts payable (AP) automation solutions. The customer in the deal is a leading global provider of transportation and logistics services who already uses other Kofax Capture solution.

According to a press release, the customer, who provides services such as international freight forwarding, highway brokerage, warehousing and distribution, and supply chain management services, will be implementing Kofax Transformation Modules, Kofax e-Transactions, Kofax SupplierExpress, Kofax MarkView for Accounts Payable and MarkView AP Advisor. With the help of Kofax platform, the customer will automate the processing of approximately 15 million invoices, bills of lading, proof of delivery forms and other transportation related documents annually. Kofax solutions can capture information digitally and then automatically extract relevant information for business processes, enabling the customer to reduce its operating costs and gain competitive advantage in an industry where speed of service is crucial.

Kofax Transformation Modules’ document classification, page separation, data extraction and validation capabilities reduces labor costs, improves information quality and accelerates business processes. Kofax e-Transactions enables the electronic delivery and capture of documents from a sender to a receiver via secure email and eliminates the need for the printing, mailing, scanning and entry of information from documents and forms.

Kofax MarkView for Accounts automates the receipt and capture of paper and electronic invoices, performs data extraction and perfection, and manages workflows for routing transactions. Kofax SupplierExpress is an AP portal that automates routine supplier interactions including invoice submission and inquiries. MarkView AP Advisor, an optional product to Kofax MarkView, provides AP and Finance managers with real-time business process intelligence.
