Diebold Inc. and Accenture (News - Alert) have entered into a multi-year agreement in which the latter will provide Diebold with finance and accounting, human resources, and procurement business process outsourcing (BPO) services to assist in its transformation strategy.
Andy W. Mattes, Diebold president and chief executive officer said, “Diebold selected Accenture because of its track record for delivering large transformation projects that deliver meaningful business outcomes. This approach will help drive success within our four key turnaround pillars of cost, cash, talent and growth.”
Accenture will deploy a global service delivery model, which will help Diebold to enhance the quality, controls and efficiency of its integrated global business processes. The practices and technologies and the standardized controls and operational transparency along with Accenture’s global delivery network will help in the execution of the multi-year, Diebold 2.0 transformation. The company can reach its business objectives more confidently and efficiently now.
For the finance and accounting department, Accenture will link the procurement and financial departments (procure-to-pay), in addition to receiving and processing customer sales (order-to-cash) and aggregating financial and accounting data (record-to-report). Accenture’s analytical capabilities will deliver data-driven insights into service performance, global processes and customers.
In the case of Diebold’s human resources processes, Accenture will deliver business process services in recruitment, employee support, data and workforce/benefits administration. Also included are analytics that provide on-going insights into HR operations.
Accenture’s Procurian acquisition will enhance procurement business process outsourcing, and will help Diebold in procurement analytics and procurement operations. The solution will help reduce indirect spend and cost while improving compliance, operational quality and supplier analytics. Diebold’s procurement transformation will benefit from Accenture’s practices, category expertise, and compliance technologies.
Accenture has also been selected by Azure Power an independent solar power producer in India, to implement a SAP (News - Alert) enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to support and drive growth in its solar generation business.
