NetSuite Inc., the industry's leading provider of financials and ERP software suites, and Baker Tilly LLP, a full service accounting and advisory firm, announced in a press release yesterday, that Baker Tilly has joined the NetSuite (News - Alert) Solution Provider program to launch a Baker Tilly cloud computing consulting practice.
The new cloud computing practice will help to increase Baker Tilly's solution and systems integration experience to provide both public and private companies, with a range of customized accounting and regulatory compliance solutions, powered by NetSuite's leading cloud computing applications for financials, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM), a press release stated.
Baker Tilly is currently ranked the 13th largest accounting and consulting firm in the U.S., according to the 2010 Accounting Today "Top 100 Firms." Baker Tilly has also received numerous types of awards over the years for its continuous growth, solid position with the financial stratosphere, and for being a leader in the industry.
In order to gain ground in the emerging cloud solutions marketplace, Baker Tilly began the process of compiling detailed market research to make sure the right ERP partnership was formed.
NetSuite quickly showed itself to be the best choice. Joining with NetSuite also gives Baker Tilly admission to one of the world's most advanced platform-as-a-service (PaaS), as well as the ability to use sophisticated technological resources located in cloud computing. NetSuite's PaaS allows Baker Tilly to deliver ERP solutions to clients in these industries, a release stated.
"Baker Tilly and NetSuite joining forces is the natural alliance of two strong, fast-growing leaders," said Craig West, vp of channel sales at NetSuite in a statement. "With NetSuite's cloud expertise and Baker Tilly's trusted accountants and consultants, our joint clients will be assured of superior guidance, insight, and operational capabilities."
"We understood we needed a proven vendor on both the technology and partnering fronts. NetSuite uniquely fit the bill with their proven product leadership, beneficial partnering model and willingness to jointly go to market with us on multiple fronts," said Bryan Majewski, managing partner at Baker Tilly in a statement. "We couldn't be more excited about the prospects of combining NetSuite's products with Baker Tilly's clients and expertise for unprecedented levels of mutual customer success."
