While a majority of businesses have already realized how crucial having an efficient call center in place is, some companies still don’t understand why they necessarily need access to the robust solutions typically powered by a contact center, including predictive/auto dialers, call forwarding, caller ID and voice broadcasting.
The city of Hollywood, Fla. quickly realized how vital call center business provider Voicent’s BroadcastByPhone offering was when it came face to face with the frustrating problem of illegal signs being deposited along highways and even busy intersections that advertised everything from junk cars to high school diplomas. However, if you traveled to this location today, it is nearly impossible to view this discarded material.
According to Hollywood’s Mayor Peter Bober, “One day I was at a red light and it just came to me that the people who put these signs there want us to call them so let’s call them and keep on calling until their heads are spinning.”
Ultimately turning to Voicent, as its suite measured up to its specific demands to rapidly alert these individuals of their wrongdoings, the city quickly took advantage of the product that placed automatic robocalls to the firms dispersing their materials throughout the region.
In fact, the program has the ability to call the offending companies up to 20 times a day with the message saying, “This is a message from the Hollywood police department. Commercial signs displaying this phone number illegally placed in the public rights of way are in violation of the city code.” Calls made to the 90-plus organizations were made between working hours, guaranteeing that someone would be receiving the important information almost immediately.
“The time these calls were placed is when these companies are hoping to receive business-related calls from people but are instead getting a lot of calls from the city of Hollywood that they need to remove their signs. So, it could be interfering with their business and that’s the idea,” Raelin Story, city spokeswoman, added.
Local residents applauded the use of the next generation technology, with one woman saying the displays are “totally an eyesore,” adding, “Who wants to see junk cars for sale?”
The near immediate success of this program has reached cities as far away as Canada who are requesting more information in regards to how they can get can get started working with Voicent. Its Windows-based software powers VoIP in order to make calls with only a reliable Internet connection being required. Some of the auto dialer software’s capabilities include: dialing with just one click, unparalleled level of scalability, live call transfer, interactive touch tone response, human pick up, answering machine, busy, no answer, disconnected line detection, automatic retry for busy line or no answer and a built in calendar.
By teaming with a call center business provider, you can reduce costs and increase efficiency, but who knew you could benefit the planet at the same exact time!
