Health Net Federal Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Health Net, Inc., today announced that its call center operations have been certified as a center of excellence by BenchmarkPortal, according to a press release.
Health Net Federal Services operates within the parent company’s government contracts segment and provides community-based outpatient programs for veterans, behavioral health, clinical services and rural healthcare for members of the military and their families. A company press release noted that it was the first company in the U. S. to develop comprehensive managed care programs for military families
The certification shows that Health Net Federal Services’s call centers are functioning at peak efficiency, using best practices, with high performance levels.
"This certification is a demonstration of our dedication to servicing the health care needs of our nation's military," said Thomas Carrato, president of Health Net Federal Services, in the press release. "We are proud to have earned this recognition, as it demonstrates our commitment to operational excellence and our unwavering effort to provide quality service to our beneficiaries, health care providers and customers."
The press release noted that BenchmarkPortal (News - Alert) gives the "center of excellence" designation to customer service call centers “that rank in the top 10 percent of those surveyed and are judged against a balanced scorecard of metrics for both efficiency and effectiveness.”
"A contact center that seeks and achieves the Center of Excellence Certification from BenchmarkPortal demonstrates a noteworthy commitment to service excellence," said Bruce Belfiore, BenchmarkPortal's chief executive officer, in the press release. "The obvious beneficiaries of this commitment are the center's customers and employees."
Call centers provide a vital link to customers and healthcare providers, linking both as needed, facilitating referrals, appointments and offering critical clinical contacts.
There are over 22,000,000 veterans currently living in the U.S., with almost 1.5 million troops actively serving, as of September 2011.
