New Call Center Furniture Leads to Increased Productivity

When a call center in Zeeland, MI needed furniture, they turned to the industry leader in call center furniture, Interior Concepts.
 
The call center had workstations with tall panels in place that went almost to the ceiling resulting in issues with airflow, agent visibility, workspace, and lighting.
 
Interior Concepts was able to solve their needs with our unique cluster workstation design. This workstation design resulted in a better working environment for the agents. The lower workstation panels allowed air to better circulate throughout the space, eliminating the hot and cold spots, and the clear panel toppers gave every agent access to natural light.






This unique design allows agents to work as a team, but still have their own space.
 
The new workstation design also resulted in increased productivity of the agents because the supervisor was now able to view the entire floor, and the agents were able to better communicate with their team and hold each other accountable to stay on task.

The company was also able to provide each agent adequate space to work even though their work surface size was reduced by 50%. This is because the company utilized monitor arms to lift the monitors up off of the work area creating both better ergonomics and increased work area.
 
The call center also loved the wire management for each of the stations, which consists of space behind each of the workstations that is hidden yet easily accessible for the IT department to access when they need to move or repair computers.
 
Since the company was not changing locations they had the need to make the most of their available space. The workstations along the wall were built to fit the space so that the workstation walls did not encroach the space into the hallways on either side of the stations.




These workstations were designed to fit the dimensions of the wall behind them.
