ThinkTel Communications, a national provider of Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP)-based voice, video, and data services, announced Telax Hosted Call Center, a North American provider of hosted call center software based in Toronto, Canada, will now be its official contact center solution.
Telax Hosted Call Center will help businesses that require a contact center due to increasing customer calls or need to replace their existing contact center.
The new contact center solution, which combines Telax Hosted Call Center and ThinkTel (News - Alert) SIP Trunking, allows companies to employ a call center at a much lower cost than legacy technologies would ever allow, according to company officials.“We chose Telax as our best-of-breed contact center solution because of their outstanding history of delivering flexible, feature rich and easy to use call center software to enterprises and government agencies,” said Dave Damer, president and CEO of ThinkTel, in a statement. “We can now enable our customers to provide world-class client care and help desk operations.”
Telax Hosted Call Center, implemented and hosted by Telax, requires no hardware purchase or management by the business. The contact center leverages ThinkTel Metaswitch solution for SIP trunking and hosted PBX (News - Alert) to deliver advanced contact center deployments in a cost-effective manager.
Earlier last year, TMCnet reported that Telax successfully completed a series of intensive interoperability tests with Metaswitch version 7.0 and Telax Hosted Call Center’s ACD 10.3.0.0 SIP protocol. Following this interoperability test, Metaswitch added Telax Hosted Call Center to its business solution suite.
