In a move to keep its promise to create communications solutions that boost employee productivity, improve the customer experience, and provide enhanced business intelligence overall, Zeacom (News - Alert) has unveiled Zeacom Communications Center 6.1.
The updated call center software product from Zeacom now includes mobility applications for Android (News - Alert) users, business intelligence features for the contact center, and more flexibility for PBX users who want to benefit from integration to Microsoft Lync.
As part of its new mobility applications for the Android platform, ZCC 6.1’s Executive Mobile feature now includes complete corporate presence, contacts and call history on all Android smartphones. Already available on the iPhone, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry (News
- Alert) devices, Executive Mobile enables executives to manage their communications on-the-go.
Zeacom is currently developing an Android version of its Snapshot application, which exhibits up-to-the-minute contact center information and exception reporting to on-the-move managers. According to company officials, Snapshot for the Apple (News
- Alert) iPad will follow the Android-based application.
Another highlight of ZCC 6.1 is enhanced wrap up data capture, which is designed to catalyze post-call analysis and thus provide high-quality business intelligence in the contact center. Since agents are presented with fewer, but more relevant options, they can pinpoint the appropriate wrap up data more quickly and easily, in turn, increasing productivity.
Lastly, ZCC 6.1 includes a Microsoft Lync gateway so users of PBX telephony systems have access to Lync’s desktop capabilities. Therefore, any organizations looking to install PBX technology, or have legacy systems, can benefit from Microsoft’s (News
- Alert) presence and instant messaging without having to upgrade their PBX.
“By leveraging the popularity of Android and Microsoft Lync among business customers, we increase the return on investment from Zeacom software,” said Sam Williams, Zeacom’s vice president of Marketing, in a prepared statement. “Version 6.1 offers our partners additional opportunities to add value through enhanced business process automation and integration services.”
Zeacom’s ZCC solution has become the definitive formula for comprehensive management of a contact center’s dispersed agents and multiple communication channels. An integrated solution with a singular user interface, ZCC is proficient in many of the core contact center capabilities, including CTI, presence, the agent desktop, multi-channel rules-driven single-queue routing, IVR, voice messaging, recording, agent quality assurance, social media integration, integration with Outlook, and, of course, multi-channel communications management for tasks like transfer, hold, forward, etc.
