X2Engine is now boasting the general availability of its X2EngineCRM version 1.6.5, a next generation, open-source CRM system.
The company has designedX2EngineCRM to be both compact yet very easy to utilize and extend, according to company officials. This solution condenses the core features of today’s complex and costly CRM systems into two high-performance sales modules – Contacts and Actions. Company officials said that X2Engine CRM additionally provides twice the power of traditional CRM systems with a fraction of the complexity.
Some of the key features of X2EngineCRM are Web and Facebook (News - Alert) lead capture forms, lead nurturing, scoring and intelligent routing, contact activity management, sales process workflow engine, and e-mail correspondence.
Additional features include product and sales quotes, user profile pages and activity streams, field security, roles and sales teams, visual form editor for admins, reporting dashboard and iPad and mobile device applications.
John Roberts (News - Alert), founder and CEO of X2Engine, said thatdesigning effective marketing campaigns requires fast and flexible tools for capturing Web leads, tagging them with campaign specific attributes and then intelligently routing them to the most appropriate sales professionals.

Earlier in July, X2Engine announced the general availability of X2EngineCRM, the earlier version, which enabled sales professionals to easily add unique tags to customer and account records, allowing them to quickly send out emails to targeted groups.
