While some companies are still feeling the pinch of the recent global economic downturn, others are finding that, after a few slow years, business is starting to pick up again. One company in this situation is VoltDelta (News - Alert), a call center solutions provider that, after a slow 2010, the company has had some big wins and is positioned to have a strong year.
At Call Center Week I spoke with Terry Saeger, senior vice president and general manager at VoltDelta. He was excited about his company’s work in the government transportation space, citing a number of state 511 lines that have been using VoltDelta solutions. These solutions boast a great deal of speech recognition complexity, which is especially useful in places like Hawaii, where place names can be extremely complex.
The VoltDelta solutions also feature tight Web integration with My511 websites and personalized predictive processing. This feature can notice patterns of calls, with predictive features kicking in after four or five instances. In these cases, a combination of common sense and data processing will help personalize the Web services for these repeat callers.
In the coming months, VoltDelta has a lot on the horizon. It expects to close several deals in the coming months as it creates brand recognition as a player in the space. Additionally, it plans to make some announcements about integration with other technology providers and plans a major new platform release for sometime this fall.
Saeger mentioned some of the advantages he feels that VoltDelta has as a provider in this space. As part of a $2.5 billion dollar company, it has the resources that many of its competitors in the space don’t have. Also, VoltDelta owns its own technology, so it can provide its own roadmap and manage infrastructure. These traits put VoltDelta in a great position and, going forward, it is poised to have an even better 2012 and beyond…
