SugarSync added a sweet touch to the handsets of Symbian (News - Alert) users as it brought their personal cloud many steps closer. With the latest mobile application, file sync, backup and sharing of documents has become a lot easier and Symbian enthusiasts can now remotely access and manage all their personal content, anywhere and at anytime.
SugarSync, which supports virtually all computer and smartphone operating systems, including Windows and Mac, and boasts native apps for iPad, iPhone, Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert) and WinMo has, with the new app, one more reason to celebrate. SugarSync's file sharing and collaboration tools also allow users to share any folder or file with a simple URL via social networks, e-mail, instant messaging and more.
A new SugarSync app has been developed for Symbian's S60 3rd Edition. The software is free and can be downloaded from the Ovi Store. A free 5 GB version of the full service is available, with the 30 GB plans starting from $4.99 per month.
In a press release, Laura Yecies, CEO of SugarSync declared that with this latest release for Symbian's S60 3rd Edition, SugarSync was enabling hundreds of millions more handset users the opportunity to access their own personal cloud enabling users of the most utilized Symbian operating system to avail of all the benefits of SugarSync so that they had the freedom to do literally anything they wanted with their files and documents.
Support for Symbian, the leading mobile platform in many parts of the world, has enabled SugarSync's rapid growth in international markets. To augment this growth, SugarSync has now provided support for both the desktop and Web applications in German, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.
In August 2010, SugarSync unveiled the first all-in-one sync, backup and sharing service for Symbian OS users with the launch of its solution for Symbian ^3 and Symbian S60 5th Edition, the current version of the popular mobile platform.
