Autonomic Resources has announced that it’s joining the Calxeda Trailblazer initiative, an industry ecosystem of companies dedicated to improving server and data center efficiency.

This new membership will allow Autonomic to get access to hardware, operating system software, tools, applications and joint sales and marketing offered by Calxeda. It will also be the first to be updated on valuable benchmarking and technical information.

According to Autonomic Resources President John Keese, the Calxeda technology holds great promise in assisting with Executive Order 13514. “When coupled with our ARC-P cloud technologies, Calxeda’s technology will help solve issues around forward deployed data center needs that until now required significant logistics, cost and manpower to enable,” said Keese.

This initiative will back Autonomic’s focus in offering solutions that assist the GSA (News - Alert) in its Sustainability Solutions. Autonomic is using technologies to assist Federal Agencies in complying with Executive Order 13514 which requires agencies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiencies.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Autonomic Resources as one of our very first Trailblazer partners,” said Calxeda CEO Barry Evans. “Our federal government is taking a green leadership role by requiring its own government agencies to improve energy efficiency and Autonomic is a critical partner in that effort with its ARC-P cloud platform. Therefore, Autonomic is a critical partner for Calxeda. Together we will disrupt the government agency industry – for the better – with hyper-efficient servers and cloud solutions.”

Both Trailblazer partners and Calxeda will work together to promote the adaption of hyper-efficient servers, creating a rich ecosystem that end users will benefit from by ultimately delivering full systems faster. Since its August 2010 launch, Calxeda has created significant industry interest in its ARM (News - Alert)-based servers.
