Intalio, a reputed vendor of private cloud applications, has received the support of visionary venture capital firms ever since its inception in 1999. In the latest round of venture financing, VMWare Inc., recognized for its virtualization and cloud infrastructure, has decided to invest in the development of Intalio's software applications.
The addition of VMWare to its roster of investors is a testament of its commitment to build out its portfolio of applications for enterprise private clouds and extend the reach of its software cloud applications.
Intalio earned Best of VMworld honors in 2009 for Cloud Computing. Its integrated solutions can be deployed on demand or on premises. The solutions include applications for business process management, customer relationship management and enterprise content management as well as online development tools.
Intalio's applications are used by some of the largest companies in the world as well as three out of the 10 most visited websites. This venture capital funded firm has even been used to drive NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers.
"Together with VMWare, we will offer customers the very best applications for private cloud computing, leveraging the VMWare vSphere and Cloud Foundry platforms and the Spring framework," Ismael Ghalimi, CEO of Intalio said of VMware's investment.
New Intalio products leveraging VMware platforms are expected to be launched later in 2011.
In other news, Intalio announced that it is partnering with MphasiS, a leading applications services, remote infrastructure services, and business processing outsourcing services provider, to offer Intalio|Works BPMS solutions worldwide.
