Fujitsu (News - Alert), a provider of ICT-based business solutions, and Asahi Group Holdings, a Japan-based alcohol manufacturer which is expanding its beer operations in China, announced a partnership for developing cloud-based sales data visualization system for Asahi Group's sales centers in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Dalian in China.

The new cloud-based sales data system will allow Asahi Group Holdings to have more clarity on the status of orders and other daily business activities. The new system is expected to enhance sharing and analysis of information and standardizing business processes. This will enable the company to develop more competitive sales activities.

Leveraging new cloud-based sales data visualization system from Fujitsu, Asahi Group can view local information, including data by region and business category, in real time from the company's headquarters. This will enable the company to seamlessly respond to changing consumer needs, according to a press statement.

The cloud platform for the system enables the company to avoid maintenance of new servers, network devices and other ICT assets. The company is expected to reduce costs, including operational costs, by 75 percent as compared to building an on-premise system.

Fujitsu quickly developed the new sales data visualization system. To help the Asahi Group effectively utilize collected information, Fujitsu will be delivering the system in combination with optimal support services. The new system will begin operations in September.

The system leverages the SAP (News - Alert) BusinessObjects BI OnDemand cloud-based data analytics tool in order to enable rich expressive data records.

Recently, Fujitsu announced that it enabled the University of Bath to expand the scope of its Innovation Centre by migrating its business network system to a cloud-based solution. Following the deployment, the Innovation Centre increased the number of its business networks that has lead to identification of new technology start-up clients and spin-outs from University research.
