San Francisco, Calif., based security SaaS (News - Alert) (News - Alert) company, CloudPassage announced a partnership with RightScale, the leading cloud computing management company.

As a result of this partnership, RightScale users will have instant access to the CloudPassage Halo solution, through the MultiCloud Marketplace. The CloudPassage Halo solution is a security SaaS solution designed to deliver host-based network security, vulnerability management, server access administration, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention.

CloudPassage Halo provides security at the virtual machine level, which is the intersection of control, portability, and scale for IaaS. Halo centralizes and automates security management at high scale, and includes an extensive REST API that unlocks extensive integration capabilities, CloudPassage explained in a press release.

RightScale’s fully automated cloud management platform enables organizations to easily deploy and manage business critical applications across multiple clouds with complete control and portability. But the security and compliance issues often stop these companies from enjoying full benefits of cloud computing. While deploying applications, the companies must ensure security at the server level. Often customers are left with no other option than having to protect their assets on their own and this is what makes highly automated host-based controls essential.

 RightScale's platform facilitates instant deployment of preconfigured multi-server configurations. As a result companies are able to control their public cloud deployments, a critical and otherwise challenging issue for IaaS adopters.

Given that CloudPassage Halo delivers a multitude of security capabilities at the server level, automating Halo deployment through RightScale is a natural and high-value integration,” co-founder and CEO of CloudPassage Carson Sweet explained in a statement.

A couple of months back, CloudPassage joined the Cloud Tools Program with Rackspace (News - Alert) (News - Alert) Hosting, a specialist in the hosting and cloud computing industry.
