A technology alliance has been announced by AppAssure Software and eFolder at the SMB Nation Fall 2011 Conference. eFolder’s highly secure SAS (News - Alert) 70 compliant data centers can now be used by AppAssure customers to replicate their applications to the cloud. Both companies’ individual offerings are complemented with the combined solution.

Users of AppAssure’s top backup and replication software in the market are provided a complete disaster recovery and business continuity solution through this partnership. An option to replicate their backups from the customer’s local data center to eFolder’s cloud-based storage is provided to users. Inflexible, appliance-bound offerings are offered by other services to customers. AppAssure customers are, however, able to utilize any hardware as their local backup repository. This repository will run AppAssure’s backup and replication software.
