World Wide Technology Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with Savvis

World Wide Technology (News - Alert), Inc., a market-leading systems integrator, providing innovative technology and supply chain solutions, entered into a strategic partnership relation with Savvis, a major player in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises.


With this partnership, WWT will be able to enhance its comprehensive suite of private, public and hybrid cloud products and service offerings.

In a release, Bob Olwig, vice president of business strategy for World Wide Technology, said, “WWT is proud to partner with best-of-breed organizations like Savvis… This partnership strengthens WWT’s ability to help our clients transform their data centers with powerful cloud infrastructure solutions and services, including virtualization, advanced compute, storage, networking and facilities. WWT is committed to maintaining our leadership in this growing market and is excited about the opportunity to further enhance our cloud offerings.”

Officials said that Savvis offers Savvis Symphony, which is a visionary suite of flexible enterprise cloud services that has been designed and deployed to meet a broad range of global computing needs.

The Symphony suite includes Open public cloud, Dedicated private cloud, Virtual Private Data Center and Database, an Oracle and Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL Server database solution.

“Savvis provides a wide array of enterprise-class services for World Wide Technology to deliver cloud-based solutions to the market,” said Jaywant Rao, vice president of global alliances for Savvis. “WWT is providing high business value to its clients through practical and innovative approaches, and we are excited to partner with them as an integral part of the Savvis Alliances Program.”

In related news, Savvis and Bharti airtel Limited, a premier global telecommunications company, have entered into a partnership to launch a major new strategic managed hosting and cloud computing initiative in India.
