Wyse Technology, a global provider of Cloud client computing whose portfolio includes thin, zero and cloud PC client solutions, desktop virtualization and cloud software for desktops, laptops and next generation mobile devices, has announced its most recent demo offerings at CeBIT (News - Alert) 2012 in Hanover, Germany. As knowledge workers increasingly work from outside the office, it is difficult for corporations to control device usage, application usage, and most importantly, to monitor the flow of corporate information and intellectual property beyond the company’s walls.

With the proliferation of mobile devices and mobile operating systems, businesses are challenged with developing new mobile applications and Internet services for their IT workforce and to interact with their customers.

Wyse will unveil its newest Wyse ThinOS thin client for IT managers who want to equip their employees with an affordable, enterprise-class client. The new thin client is a compact, affordable and flexible thin client that sets that sets new benchmarks in the entry-level segment and provides the best user experience and the highest performance for Web, Citrix, Microsoft (News - Alert) and VMware VDI applications. Although employees are excited about the potential of using their own mobile devices in the workplace, an increasing number of companies understand the need to manage and track the growing proliferation.

Controlling the sheer number and diversity of mobile devices in the workplace, ensuring data security along with infrastructure integrity, and combining social media with business processes represent significant challenges. To that end, Wyse’s Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM, a new EMM software suite delivers top-notch mobile device management from the cloud. It enables management, support and protection for smartphone and tablet users with access to physical and virtualized IT resources. It also significantly reduces the effort and cost for management regardless of the organization's size and the number of devices used.

CeBIT continues to offer companies a unique opportunity for companies to interface with their partners and with customers. According to Hagen Dommershausen, marketing director Central and Eastern Europe at Wyse, “CeBIT continues to be one of the most important events for meeting customers and partners and to present our new products and solutions. This year we can present visitors with exclusive access to new solutions from our portfolio. This show will offer a deep insight into the future of Wyse and our strategic direction.” This year Wyse partners CanCom, Softline, VMware and Zimmer & Lange accompany Wyse at CeBIT and showcase their comprehensive solutions concerning cloud computing, zero and thin clients, and desktop virtualization.

As organizations grapple with the increasing prevalence of a mobile workforce—laptop, smartphone, and tablet users—they face a unique set of issues. Cloud client computing replaces the outdated computing model of the unsecure, unreliable, energy-intensive and expensive PC, all while delivering lower TCO and a superior user experience. Wyse has shipped more than 20 million units and has over 200 million people interacting with their products each day, enabling the leading private, public, hybrid and government cloud implementations worldwide.

Increasingly, knowledge workers today expect instant online access via the types of laptops, smartphones, and tablets they use outside of work. Wyse will be featured in a 15-minute TV segment, moderated by Damian Sicking at CeBIT. Karl Heinz Warum, managing director of Wyse Germany, will discuss channel strategy, successful development of Wyse as a cloud client computing company and finally the future of cloud computing and meeting the needs of those knowledge workers.
