Nice piece posted on the Soffront blog recently noting, no doubt correctly, that “the future of integrated customer service software is evident in the growth of CRM mobility.”
Mobility. CRM these days is all about mobility – oh, and social networking. Mobility and social networking. And cloud. Can’t forget cloud. Imagine somebody checking their Facebook from an iPhone (News - Alert) or iPad on the subway and you have seen the future of CRM, and it works.
More and more businesses are taking their CRM applications online “and even on the road,” the blog post notes, adding that from marketing to sales and service, “customer relationship management is going places. Soffront Software assesses the mobile CRM landscape and how it affects sales and support.”
Because as Soffront officials say, the name of the game now is to give your sales force access to customer management software at their fingertips wherever they are. And it’s becoming increasingly easy to do that. “With instant access to leads, prior activities, and sales information, the sale force of any size organization can now work smarter in lead management,” they say.
Enter information straight into CRM software at the first point of contact during a trade show, using a mobile device, instead of waiting to get back to the hotel. That’s what we’re talking about. Getting customer service updates on calls and information on location. Forwarding support tickets to anyone in the company wherever they are.
Naturally CRM vendors are falling over themselves to provide tools for this burgeoning field. For example, Soffront offers an integrated CRM suite spanning sales, marketing, service, and operations. They’ve been selling cloud-based CRM for about seven years, so they know what they’re doing.
About a month ago TMC’s (News - Alert) Rajani Baburajan wrote that Soffront announced American Security Programs, one of the fastest growing security companies in the U.S., reported “dramatic growth” using Soffront’s CRM software. Following the deployment of Soffront’s CRM software, American Security Programs also gained easier to manage sales leads and larger accounts.
