Soffront Software Expands Allen Press Helpdesk, Improves ROI

Soffront Software Inc. is a pioneer in the customer relationship management (CRM) market since 1992, and offers an integrated CRM suite spanning sales, marketing, service and operations. Soffront was one of the first cloud-based CRM providers and has many satisfied cloud CRM customers.

One such customer is Allen Press, Inc., a printing and publishing company in Kansas, who has been using Soffront’s software for six years specifically for support for some online applications it hosts. It provides the most comprehensive offering of integrated services for scholarly journal and special-interest publication production.

Allen Press originally turned to Soffront for its flexibility, ability to generate reports and its ability to use standardized interfaces into the databases.

John Van Nice, IT Manager, Allen Press, Inc., said since the company first deployed Soffront’s software, it has expanded its helpdesk to corporate helpdesk for internal support, production database for tracking in the production process and it added sales tracking CRM for its sales staff.

With Soffront’s software, Allen Press was able to more effectively track issues on helpdesk, which allows the company to keep its help support staff smaller, and it is able to track multiple issues and progress on those issues so they do not become lost in process.

For Soffront’s sales module, the Outlook integration and ability to do specific tracking of customer including leads and prospects has made the sales staff more efficient in seeing what’s in the sales funnel, what’s out there and keeping leads for processing. The module also provided good ROI for Allen Press.

 “We’ve been very happy with Soffront, with their programming staff, sales staff and support,” said Van Nice. “We will continue to be happy users of the application.”
