Really Simple Systems Cloud CRM Selected for Government Cloud Computing Initiative

By Rachel Ramsey, TMCnet Web Editor

Customer relationship management (CRM) systems enable businesses to capture customer information and analyze the data to achieve better product deliverance and ultimate customer service. CRM solutions used to only be stored in central databases consisting of hardware and network infrastructure. Now, with the advancement of cloud technologies, many companies are drifting away from the hard locations of data and moving to Internet-based solutions such as cloud CRM.

Really Simple Systems, a provider of cloud CRM solutions, has been selected as one of the online CRM, Web CRM and small business CRM suppliers for the government initiative, G-Cloud iii, a U.K-based program dedicated to the adoption of cloud computing and delivering computing resources.

G-Cloud iii aims to achieve large, cross-government economies of scale; deliver Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems that are flexible and responsive to demand in order to support government policies and strategies; take advantage of new technologies in order to deliver faster business benefits and reduce costs; and meet environmental and sustainability targets.

John Paterson, chief executive of Really Simple Systems, said in a statement, "Public sector bodies can now implement online CRM, Web CRM and small business CRM quickly and cheaply, without the cost and time associated with traditional online CRM, Web CRM and small business CRM products and government tendering processes. The public sector, the tax payer and the U.K. technology industry will all benefit from this initiative."

Really Simple Systems’ cloud CRM enables users to access data anywhere, anytime by connecting to the Internet. Users can manage customers, prospects, contacts, tasks, sales opportunities and marketing campaigns in one system.

Opting to run a CRM system in the cloud means users get full functionality CRM software without the overhead of installing and maintaining anything. Cloud CRM providers, like Really Simple Systems, maintain the software, the servers and the back-up data. All users need is a Web browser. In addition to cloud CRM, Really Simple Systems offers online CRM, mobile CRM and other functionalities, such as e-mail synchronization, contract management and accounting integration.
