Adaptive Computing Appoints Marty Smuin as Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Adaptive Computing, the largest provider of high-performance computing workload management software, has recently hired industry veteran Marty Smuin as Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

In his new role, Marty will be responsible for all global customer engagements and end user relationships. With more than 20 years of management experience in business development, sales, and marketing, Marty will certainly help Adaptive Computing in meeting its set objectives.


“The addition of Marty’s dynamic sales leadership and deep background in technology sales will ensure our continued strength in the HPC and Private Cloud Computing markets,” commented Rob Clyde, CEO of Adaptive Computing, in a statement. “We are honored to have Marty on board and look forward to further accelerating Adaptive’s growth.”

Most recently, Marty served as the President of Aircom International, Inc.  With his leadership, he helped the company consistently exceed financial projections and substantially grew revenue year over year.

Before Aircom, Marty worked as the GM for the Americas at Bytemobile, Inc., which was acquired by Citrix. Prior to that, he held senior executive, sales, business development and marketing positions at Openwave Systems (News - Alert), ACCESS, i-drive, USA, Inc., and QVC.

Marty has also worked with start-ups, from concept to raising tens of millions of dollars from angel investors, VC’s, and private equity firms.

Adaptive Computing manages the world’s largest cloud computing environment with Moab, a self-optimizing dynamic cloud management solution and HPC workload management system. The firm offers a portfolio of Moab cloud management and Moab HPC workload management products and services that accelerate, automate, and self-optimize IT workloads, resources, and services in large, complex heterogeneous computing environments such as HPC, data centers and cloud.

In related news, Adaptive Computing has announced the availability of Moab Cloud Suite 7.0, its end-to-end integrated intelligent cloud management platform, bringing touchless optimization to private clouds.
