Okta, an on-demand identity and access management service, has been named a “Leader” in enterprise cloud identity and access management (IAM) in the newly published Forrester Wave Report.

Okta asserted that enterprises everywhere are rapidly adopting cloud services such as Salesforce.com (News - Alert), WebEx, Google Apps, Workday or NetSuite to power their core business processes. Whether they have one cloud application, or are managing across many, they need a solution to help them adopt, deploy, secure and manage these services.

Okta can enable them to accelerate the secure adoption of their Web applications, both in the cloud and behind the firewall.

Okta delivers a complete, turnkey solution that addresses the needs not only of IT, but also end-users, and business executives – no customization work or long services engagements required. Its solutions can be deployed for quick automation of all user management functionality and realize a seamless experience, all with a 100-percent on-demand, secure, highly available service.

“We believe that Forrester's (News - Alert) recognition of Okta not only validates our position as a cloud-native market leader, but drives home the growing demand for identity management across companies of all kinds,” said Okta CEO Todd McKinnon. “As enterprises move to a world of cloud applications, mobile devices and increasing collaboration with customers and partners, they demand a new kind of solution to help manage and secure these new IT environments. We're committed to being the 'glue' that binds everything together – and have invested aggressively to ensure the highest levels of security, scalability and reliability for our customers.”

The recently published “Forrester Wave: Enterprise Cloud Identity and Access Management” report supposedly details Forrester Research’s (News - Alert) findings about how well each vendor fulfills its criteria and where they stand in relation to each other to help security and risk professionals select the right partner for their cloud-based IAM needs.
