IDC Names Adaptive Computing Contender in 2012 Vendor Analysis MarketScape Report

Adaptive Computing has remained at the forefront of the cloud management business, having locked in its position as the largest provider of private cloud management and high-performance computing (HPC) workload management software, along with its signature Moab Cloud Suite for ultimate optimization. Today, the company proudly revealed that they have been named for the very first time as a Contender in the Worldwide Distributed Server/Workload Automation Software 2012 Vendor Analysis MarketScape report.
Released by IDC, a market research and advisory firm, the report deems HP and IBM (News
- Alert) – both companies with which Adaptive has partnerships with – “major players” in the assessment.

IDC also explains that the vendors reviewed in the report have “the potential for serious impact on this market as it continues to mature and evolve in the coming years,” according to a statement. Furthermore, the report shed light on a number of Adpative’s strengths, specifically including its expansion and emphasize on its advanced analytics and automated policy-based optimization of virtualization and cloud workloads.
As also mentioned above, the company’s patented Moab multi-dimensional policy engine software is designed to address the complex analytic requirements of dynamic virtual and cloud data centers.
