CDNetworks and MegaFon to Help Dulton Media Offer Uniform Services

MegaFon (News - Alert) OJSC has reportedly joined CDNetworks, a multinational content delivery network, in assisting the cloud content services company in Moscow, Dulton Media, in optimizing its cloud content throughout Russia.

MegaFon is touted as the first and only operator with a network covering all regions of Russia, and the first operator to launch 3G commercial operations there.

Dulton Media found that Internet users living outside of big cities did not benefit to the same extent as their counterparts, who had access to its fast downloads, streaming cloud content, video and e-commerce.

Looking to repair this imbalance and grant its approximately 63 million Internet users access to the same level of services, Dulton Media sought the help of MegaFon and CDNetworks.

 MegaFon is stated to have the longest backbone network in Russia among NGOs and the largest VSAT network in Russia and CIS countries.

CDNetworks claims to be the only multinational content delivery network with local expertise and infrastructure inside mainland China and across six continents, with 13 points of presence in Russia.

MegaFon, along with CDNetworks’ content delivery network, will reportedly make it easy for businesses to successfully and cost-effectively deliver Web content and applications into Russia with a nationwide network, unrivaled in both reach and performance.
