2013 Tarrant County Go Red for Women Luncheon to Feature Star Jones as Keynote Speaker
FORT WORTH, Texas --(Business Wire)--
The Tarrant County Division of the American Heart Association will host
the 2013 Go Red for Women Luncheon on Friday, March 1st at
the Fort Worth Convention Center. This year's luncheon will feature
well-known attorney, author, TV personality and American Heart
Association National Volunteer, Star Jones, who underwent successful
open heart surgery in 2010.
For 10 years, women
have been fighting heart disease individually and together as part
of the Go Red For Women movement. More than 627,000 women's lives have
been saved, but the fight is far from over. Heart disease is still
women's No. 1 killer - it affects more women than men and is more deadly
than all forms of cancer combined.
The luncheon will be chaired by Kathleen Searle, Communications Director
for Bell Helicopter, and is open to the public. Registration, free
health screenings (provided by Texas Health Resources) and silent
auction open at 10:30 a.m., and the luncheon begins at 12:00 p.m.
Tickets are $100 and are available by calling 817.698.5400 or visiting www.heart.org/tarrantcountygoredluncheon.
