ClinStar to Present on Risk Management and Clinical Trial Rescue Planning at Outsourcing Clinical Trials West Coast
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
ClinStar,
LLC, an established clinical research organization providing
clinical development services in the emerging markets of Russia and
Eastern Europe to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry,
announced today that they will present at Arena International's 5th
Annual Outsourcing in Clinical Trials West Coast conference January
29-30, 2013 on "Including Russia and Ukraine in your Risk Management and
Rescue Study Plans."
According to Vice President Operations Richard Koenig, "Risk Management
is one of the fundamentals of good project management and lagging
enrollmnt is one of the key risks for any clinical trial. It can damage
many other key risk areas including: schedule, budget, and quality.
Unfortunately, many contingency plans inadequately address enrollment
risks because they seek minor changes to existing strategies, rather
than new approaches to impending threats. With markets in the West
saturated with clinical trials and patient enrollment and retention more
challenging than ever, the industry is embracing emerging markets to
take advantage of faster enrollment rates and lower drop-out rates."
During his presentation, Mr. Koenig will discuss the enormous value and
practical considerations of including Russia in your initial global
clinical study planning, and minimally, in your risk management and
contingency planning. Mr. Koenig will also examine how you can leverage
Russia and Eastern Europe in your clinical trial rescue planning.
Specifically, he will evaluate the critical elements required for a
successful study transition plan, including regulatory tasks, drug
storage, clinical management and investigator payments.
