Indian terrorist group top operative claims Nepal key hub
KATHMANDU, Jan 30, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
Top operative of Indian
Mujahideen(IM)--an infamous terrorist group based in India--Danish
Ansari has claimed that Nepal has become the biggest hub for
pumping fake currency into India, The Asian Age reported
Wednesday.
The IM was declared a terrorist organization by the Indian
government on 2010 and is recognized for carrying out several
attacks against civilian targets in India. On the same year, New
Zealand also tagged the villainous group as terrorists, followed
by US terrorist tag in September last year.
During a custodial interrogation by the Indian National
Intelligence Agency after his arrest a week ago, Ansari revealed
that Nepal has become the biggest hub for IM operatives.
It has been also reported that many IM cadres has shifted their
base to Nepal and are operating from hideouts near the Indo-Nepal
border following a major crackdown on the outfit in the recent
past.
Responding to a Xinhua query, Nepal's District Police Office in
Birgunj--bordering Nepali town with India--denied elaborating on
Ansari's claim.
