(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MUMBAI: From February 4, multiplexes and cinema houses in the city will screen a one-minute film on Protecting Women and Children in Cyberspace immediately after the national anthem.

The advisory will be narrated by nine celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Anil Kapoor. The idea was conceptualized by the Mumbai police in collaboration with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) during as part of the Cyber Safety Month.


The one-minute film was approved by the Film Censor Board on Wednesday, and Kapoor launched it at the Police Club in Azad Maidan. "The film is like a guide for parents to prevent their children from indulging in cyber crime and the general dos and donts. The theme is 'Safe to use and unsafe to misuse'," said Satyapal Singh, police commissioner.

The police and Nasscom have also made 15-minute (three CDs of five minutes each) informative speeches made by 27 celebrities, including Bachchan, Khan, Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Sachin Tendulkar, Ajay Devgn, Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar, on the dos and don'ts of cyberspace. More than 5,000 of the CDs will be circulated in schools, colleges, housing societies through clubs, and corporate houses.

Co-chairman of the Cyber Safety Month, Vijay Mukhi, said it took them almost a month to compile the three CDs each containing 200 MB film with speeches made by the celebrities during the police festival held on January 5.
