Newman University Athletics to Dedicate "Potter Family Court" - Induct Members to Hall of Fame on Saturday

Newman University will celebrate three decades of commitment and excellence to Newman University Athletics from Men's Basketball Coach Mark Potter, his wife Nanette, daughter and Newman Volleyball standout Chelsey, and son and number one fan Zechariah, when Newman designates the court in Fugate Gymnasium as "Potter Family Court." The dedication will occur at 1:4 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, prior to tip-off of the Newman Jets game against Dallas Baptist University.

The Potters have helped build the program on the values Coach Potter espouses and lives - values that match the mission of Newman University and the University founders, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. The Jet Athletic Department is honoring the Potters and celebrating the event by offering limited edition replicas of the Newman University court with the "Potter Family Court" inscription at http://newmanjets.com/potterfamilycourt.aspx.

In addition to the court dedication, the Newman University Athletic Department will induct the 2013 Hall-of-Fame class. The 2013 Hall-of-Fame inductees are Dan Friend, Catrina (Rogers) Wallace, Chris Clawson, Via Christi Health and the 2004 men's volleyball team.
