BRIEF: Suffolk School Board to hear budget proposal [The Virginian-Pilot]
(Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 14--SUFFOLK -- Superintendent Deran Whitney will unveil his 2013-14 budget proposal to the School Board tonight.
Also on the agenda: a review of the pilot program that has allowed students at King's Fork High to use cell phones and other portable technology devices during the school day. Board members will decide whether to continue that program through the end of the school year.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the municipal center, 441 Market St.
