(AME Info (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 14--MICROSOFT FIXES 57 BUGS: Microsoft has released fixes for vulnerabilities in every one of its Windows operating systems and several server products for February, PC Magazine has reported. The update includes 12 security bulletins addressing 57 vulnerabilities, Microsoft said in its security advisory. These include two related to Internet Explorer, with all the remaining updates addressing issues in various versions of Windows from Windows XP to the new Windows RT.
MIDEAST IT SPENDING TO TOP $32BN IN 2013: IDC: IDC has said that Middle East IT spending this year is forecast to exceed $32bn, the majority of which will go to software and services, Khaleej Times has reported. Saudia Arabia is expected to be the largest spender in the region with $10bn in 2013, followed by the UAE with more than $7bn IT spending, and Egypt with $3bn, said IDC's vice-president and regional managing director for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, Jyoti Lalchandani. "We believe software and services spending in 2013 will be about 28 percent of the total spending and that number will be roughly 33 percent in 2016," Lalchandani told the daily.
