BRIEF: Police say Twitter post by Cedar Falls student was a hoax

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- An alleged threat posted on Twitter by a Cedar Falls student was quickly deemed a hoax by local police.
An email sent to Cedar Falls High School parents Tuesday said the high school was "alerted of a potential threat" Tuesday afternoon.
Several students reported the concern minutes after it was discovered.
Cedar Falls Police then interviewed the student and his parents and searched their home.
The email said that police determined "no one was in danger at any time."
The district is continuing to work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
