BRIEF: Big Spring Police Department investigates homicide

Big Spring police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man as a homicide, after an autopsy determined he died from serious internal injuries resulting from an assault, the department announced Thursday in a news release.
Daniel Flores' family members found him dead in the passenger's seat of a vehicle on family property Tuesday at 1407 W. Second St. in Big Spring, the release stated. A family member told police that Flores appeared to have been beaten when he came home late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
His body was taken to Lubbock for an autopsy.
The place where Flores suffered his wounds remained unclear Thursday, police stated. Investigators were interviewing witnesses.
