Mintz Levin Attorney Ellyn L. Sternfield to Moderate Panel at ACI's In-House Counsel Forum on Government Regulation of Prescription Drug Pricing

Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo, P.C., will moderate a panel
at the 11th Annual In-House Counsel Forum on Government Regulation of
Prescription Drug Pricing presented by the American Conference
Institute. The forum takes place February 26-27 in New York City.
Ms. Sternfield will be moderating a panel on February 27 entitled,
"Survy and Analysis of State Pricing Enforcement Activities." The
panelists, all of whom are state enforcers, will examine current and
ongoing pricing investigations and enforcement actions in their
respective states, as well as discuss the nexus between state consumer
protection and false claims act statutes relative to pricing actions,
parens patriae and class claims and off label claims relative to pricing
actions.
Ms. Sternfield has more than 30 years of legal experience, with an
extensive background in the field of government health care enforcement.
Her experience enables her to provide valuable insight to clients facing
potential state or federal investigations, or who have general
compliance concerns. Ms. Sternfield currently represents a variety of
health care product and service providers in federal and state
administrative, civil, and criminal matters around the country. She
conducts internal reviews and investigations for clients concerned about
potential compliance issues. Ms. Sternfield advises clients on proposed
or existing health care business arrangements, especially those
involving Medicaid, Medicare, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program. She
drafts compliance plans to help insulate clients from future
whistleblower claims or enforcement efforts. Ms. Sternfield helps
negotiate resolutions of matters brought under federal or state false
claims acts.
