Arris to Unveil Broadband Connectivity Solutions at Cable Congress [Manufacturing Close - Up]
(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Arris Group, Inc. announced it will showcase next generation cable edge architectural solutions, video processing, broadband access, gateways, assurance solutions and advertising products at Cable Congress.
According to a release, the Arris portfolio gives broadband operators the tools and platforms they need to deliver reliable telephony, demand driven video, next generation advertising and high speed data services. Arris will also demonstrate a personalized user interface for 3D TV. Cable Congress will be held at The Lancaster London from March 5-7.
Media Gateways Providing a Strong Platform for All Home Services
Charles Cheevers, Arris CTO of CPE Solutions, will speak on the panel: "Installing Cable's Future: Evolving Connectivity Solutions in the Home" at 2:25 PM on March 6. The panel will be moderated by Dale Barnes of Virgin Media. Other panelists include Philippe Le May of Numericable, Micha Berger of LGI and Naaven Changaani of Netgear Inc.
"Cable operators can build on the advent of the true Full Services Media Gateway Platform to provide true multiscreen and multi device connectivity," said Cheevers. "Operators now have the scope to offer additional digital life services connecting to home automation systems, smart energy systems and even wellness information from subscribers. Visitors to the Arris stand can learn how gateways connect devices to each other seamlessly, and how gateways provide a bridge between local and cloud services."
Interactive Touchscreen Lets Attendees Explore Entire ARRIS Portfolio
The CCAP-capable Arris E6000 Converged Edge Router and the RDK- based Arris Media Gateway, along with the complete ARRIS product portfolio, will be demonstrated via interactive touchscreen. Additionally a live demonstration will show how consumers can enhance, personalize and simplify their own user interface.
