Columbia River Crossing's span; drive-by paintball shooting: North Portland Roundup

A guy biking down North Vancouver Avenue yesterday was the victim of a drive-by paintball shooting, police say. Ricardo Medina, 36, told police he was riding about 4 p.m. near Skidmore Street when a light-colored Honda Civic pulled alongside him and a passenger fired a paintball gun at him.
Sen. Chip Shields has released a video detailing his legislative priorities for North and Northeast Portland.

Richard Read reports three companies that make giant structures upriver from the proposed Columbia River Crossing could lose anywhere from $30 million to $116 million in profits because of the span's reduced clearance. That's what CRC managers told the U.S. Coast Guard in a bridge permit application filed Jan. 30 and made public late Tuesday.

The Q Center has launched a kickstarter to raise $5,000 for its role in the Queer Music Benefit for LGBTQ Mental Health Services. Logan Lynn, the nonprofit's communications guy, is one of the performers.
