Snap MyLife Unveils Automatic Content Synchronization Cloud Services

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Cloud services adoption is growing across industries all over the world. According to Gartner (News - Alert), cloud computing is expected to grow 19 percent in 2012, becoming a $109 billion industry compared to a $91 billion market last year.

Snap MyLife, a developer of cloud applications for consumers and families, recently launched an automatic content synchronization cloud-based service that makes for an incredibly simple and reliable backup tool.

Snap Sync automatically organizes and groups content from all sync-enabled devices into photo, video, music or document "content views" for easy access regardless of where it originated from.

The offering allows users to instantly access their saved files from their Android (News - Alert) smartphones and tablets, Windows PC and Mac OS X computers, and other Internet-enabled devices via Snap Sync's browser interface at any time.

When leveraging this robust cloud service, syncing and backing up content becomes much easier. Snap a photo with a phone and it instantly syncs to the cloud or just download a song and listen to it on-the-go. Users can also search the content by keyword or sort by file name, date or size, as well as easily share files via e-mail and file links. Snap Sync can be set to sync only over Wi-Fi so as not to consume cellular data bandwidth.

"Snap Sync is a simple, consumer-friendly cloud service for anywhere access to your information," said Jiren Parikh (News - Alert), president and CEO at Snap MyLife in a statement.  "With secure cloud storage and automatic syncing of all your data, Snap Sync makes it easy to manage your digital life."

Additionally, with the Snap Sync desktop app for Windows XP SP3 and above and Mac OS X v10.6 and above, users can drag and drop folders from any PC or Mac to sync them to the cloud.

Future releases will include downloadable Snap Sync apps for Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 8 and Apple iOS devices, as well as enhanced browser support including off-line content access.

A Snap Sync subscription starts at $89.89 annually with 10 GB of data storage included for an unlimited number of devices.
