Interxion (News - Alert) Holding NV, a European provider of energy efficient data centers, recently welcomed cloudgermany.de as its new cloud computing customer at one of its data centers in Germany.

In a press release, the company said that cloudgermany.de’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) as well as cloud storage solutions have been implemented at Interxion's data center campus in Frankfurt. According to Interxion , both the solutions meet the highest data centre infrastructure requirements for connectivity, high availability, performance and reliability.

The IaaS solution’s virtual servers operating in completely closed, multi-tenant systems allows the end users to share and use IT capacities and storage space without the need to implement additional safety features by themselves. This enables the users to retrieve, edit and store information anytime and anywhere and that is also without the risk of disruptions or data losses.

The cloud storage solution allows the administration of stored data in a highly secured and encrypted environment.

Furthermore, cloudgermany.de’s certified structures are designed to allow its clients to maintain the data protection conformity.

cloudgermany.de, which serves reputable DAX-listed companies and innovative German medium-sized companies, uses Interxion's Cloud Hub, a community of connectivity and cloud service companies. Earlier this month, Interxion announced the appointment of Dr. Graeme Creasey as UK Director of Operations. In his new role, Graeme will oversee operations at Interxion's London data centre, taking responsibility for the effective streamlining of all existing operations and driving efficiencies as the company seeks to continuously enhance service delivery to its customer base. Graeme will also be working directly with the executive team to further drive and support the company's demand-led expansion strategy, the company said in a previous press release.
