Any event held at something called the NERD center has got to be full of technical knowledge and insight, right? Well, this week, the Microsoft (News - Alert) NERD Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts will host the first ever SharePoint Speakout, co-sponsored by companies like cloud storage provider StorSimple.
The event will take place on June 14, 2012, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge. The New England Research and Development Center opened in September of 2007 as a vertical campus which spans two buildings, providing a conference center and a hub of activity for the local tech community in the greater Boston area.
SharePoint allows users to set up Web sites to share information with others, manage documents from start to finish, and publish reports to help everyone make better decisions.
The half-day seminar is designed to enable SharePoint users to hear from their peers about what is working and, more importantly, what is not working in their SharePoint deployments. Attendees of the SpeakOut will give you insight as to how to obtain: greater business process efficiency, a more trustworthy SharePoint environment, more empowered end users and more.
The agenda features a keynote speech by Chris Bortlik, technology solutions professional from Microsoft. Afterward will be a SharePoint Maturity Model Overview, which will bring a holistic view of a SharePoint implementation including a brief overview of the SharePoint Maturity Model.
Several case studies will be featured at the event, featuring companies such as Axceler (News - Alert), Harmon.ie and HiSoftware. In addition, cloud storage provider StorSimple will present a case study on infrastructure. The event will also feature panel discussions designed to put the SharePoint power in the hands of the people.
